Food delivery platform Swiggy on Friday said it has resolved an issue flagged by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) concerning its food ordering and delivery platform, Toing, after updating its licence particulars.

In a regulatory filing to stock exchanges, the company said it had received a prohibition order dated July 6 from the FSSAI's designated officer in Karnataka over certain observations related to its FSSAI licence for the Toing platform.

Swiggy clarified that the matter "involved no food safety concerns" and was limited to the updation of licence particulars. The company said it addressed the observations and received a modified FSSAI licence on July 9.

The company also said no monetary penalty has been imposed in connection with the order and that there is no major financial impact on its operations or financial position.

According to the disclosure, the company delayed informing stock exchanges as it was evaluating the next steps after receiving the order.
