Shopper's Stop ties up with ABCTCL for Cafe Coffee Day

NEW DELHI: K Raheja Group-promoted Shopper's Stop Ltd and coffee major Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company Ltd on Thursday announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) cafes at Shoppers Stop stores.
Under the MoU, ABCTCL will run Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) outlets from the stores currently owned and/or operated by Shoppers Stop, the two companies said in a statement.
The first CCD format outlet within Shoppers Stop stores is likely to start by April this year and the two companies initially plan to set up 19 such stores, it added. CCD is a subsidiary of ABCTCL.
"Our MoU with Shoppers Stop will create more value for the discerning shopper... It is part of our strategy to be present in various lifestyle formats," ABCTCL Director Alok Gupta said.
"This association between Shoppers Stop and CCD shall bring together the leading brands in their respective segments, to further provide our customers a delightful experience while shopping in our stores," Shoppers Stop Ltd Customer Care Associate and Managing Director B S Nagesh said.
As part of the agreement, the existing cafes operated by Shoppers Stop Limited shall be converted into CCD formats over the next few months, while all new stores will be designed with CCD outlets.
