Reliance Brands to open 37 more stores

The company has joint venture partnerships for Zegna, Diesel and Paul & Shark, with the others, it has a distribution agreement. It is also looking at opportunities to invest in Indian fashion brands.

KOLKATA: Reliance Brands Limited, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Reliance Retail Limited, today said it would add 37 stores across its various high-end footwear and apparel brands in the country.

"We presently have 18 stores. We will take it to 55 by December," said Reliance Brands President and CEO Darshan Mehta.

He said the company has stores under brands such as Zegna, Quicksilver, Paul & Shark, Diesel, Steve Madden and Timberland.

Mehta said the company is also looking at opportunities to invest in Indian fashion brands as well as to evolve its own brands.

The nine cities where the company has stores are Delhi, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata.

The company's plans to forge a JV with Miss Sixty of Italy fell through, he said.
