Re-launched Vimal to open 24 exclusive showrooms
After the re-launch of its textile brand Vimal, Reliance Industries Ltd on Friday unveiled the first of its newly designed exclusive showrooms in the city.

AHMEDABAD: After the re-launch of its textile brand Vimal, Reliance Industries Ltd on Friday unveiled the first of its newly designed exclusive showrooms in the city.
"We today launched the first exclusive showroom of re-launched Vimal in Ahmedabad, the birth place of the product," RIL President, Textile Business, Anand Parekh said.
"We will follow it up with launch of showrooms in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi. The number of these exclusive stores will go up to 24 in the next one year. We will also offer our products through 200 of our franchise showrooms."
"An international architecture expert was involved in the redesign of the Vimal exclusive showrooms to ensure that they are on lines with global standard," he added.
"The re-launched brand will soon become market leader, the position it was enjoying earlier," he stated.
"We will soon have several brand ambassadors for Vimal," Parekh said in a reply to a question.
"Vimal was a pioneer textile brand in the country started by Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani in Ahmedabad in 1966 with four machines, 40 men and a plot of land in Naroda area," he recalled.
"After the split in the Reliance empire (in 2005), (RIL Chairman) Mukesh Ambani decided to re-launch the brand," Parekh noted.
"We are focussed and committed to make it a top brand at national level and also in exports," had added.
