Nike Inc plans to set up a new campus in Bengaluru, as the sportswear giant deepens its bet on India as both a growth market and a manufacturing hub.

The company said full-time, India-based Nike employees will move to the campus beginning in FY28. They will support work across Nike, Jordan and Converse. The exact location of the campus has not been disclosed. Nike expects to announce it next calendar year.

The announcement comes as Nike changes its operating model to accelerate and scale the Sport Offense and position itself for long-term growth, according to the company's statement.

Nike said India is already an important growth market and manufacturing hub for it, with strong capabilities and access to talent. The Bengaluru campus, it said, is a bigger long-term investment to get closer to local consumers and serve local athletes better.

The company said the campus will help it capture commercial opportunity, support manufacturing growth and build new capabilities in India and around the world. It also said the move will free up more resources for solving problems, creating new ideas and serving athletes.
