LeagueOne to invest Rs 55 cr on networked retail outlets
Advertising firm LeagueOne Marketing Services Ltd said on Wednesday, it plans to invest Rs 55 crore on setting up LCD screens in 4,870 retail outlets across the country to educate buyers about the products.
"The money will be spent on setting up LCD screens in traditional retail outlets whereby the customers will be educated about the products when they are in purchase mode," company Managing Director Rajiv Gupta told reporters here today.
Initially, the company would be focusing on pharmaceuticals, health, telecom, electronics, lifestyle and optical sectors, while the selection of outlets would be based on industry verticals, he said.
"It is essential to promote the product at the place where the potential consumer is in spending mode i.e. at the retail outlets. In fact various global studies including those by Wal-Mart have confirmed that nearly 70 per cent of the buying decisions are taken at the point of retail," he said.
Presently, the company has networked 663 retail outlets across the country and plans to cover 4,870 outlets by the end of this fiscal.
