Khaitan to launch its chain of retail outlets

PANAJI: Khaitan Electrical Limited will launch its chain of retail outlets 'Elmart' to sell all kinds of electrical products in the country.

"All the electrical products would be sold under one roof through these outlets," Khaitan Electricals Vice Chairman and Managing Director Sunil Khaitan told reporters in South Goa.

The company, which already has entered into retail market through its chain outlets- Khaitan city and Khaitan fantasy selling exclusively its own products, will start its first 'Elmart' in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

"Four more outlets would be rolled out in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow and Kanpur areas in the days to come," Khaitan said adding, "company will open total 20 outlets by March".

"To start with, we are targeting north India and later will branch out in rest of the parts, Khaitan, which holds 6 per cent market share in the fans, stated.

Despite having their own electric products, the outlets will be bereft of company exclusivity. "All company products would be on the shelf, Khaitan said.

The outlet will not merely be the selling point but will also educate customers about the products, he added.
