IKEA to open its third store in Mumbai, at R CITY Mall

Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA will be opening a store at R CITY Mall, Mumbai, its second small-format city store in India.

IKEA R CITY will be the first in-mall store for IKEA in India. The store, which spans 72,000 square feet of retail space, will open to the public in the coming months.

“Mumbai is one of IKEA India’s most important markets. With IKEA R CITY, we will become more accessible to many more people in Mumbai with our well-designed, good quality, affordable, functional, and sustainable home furnishings range. With our second city store, we strengthen our omnichannel presence in Maharashtra,” Susanne Pulverer, CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer at IKEA India said.


Customers in Maharashtra will be able to place orders for 5000+ products that will be delivered to them, as well as buy 2000 products straight from the stores, to IKEA's omnichannel presence, the company said in a press release.
