IDSA names new executive committee

NEW DELHI: Indian Direct Selling Association (IDSA) on Tuesday named Jitendra Jagota, director legal & government affairs at Avon Beauty Products as its chairman. He succeeds Rajat Banerji, national head, corporate affairs at Amway India, a statement issued by IDSA said.

The Rs 7,200 crore direct selling industry, which has been dealing with a complex regulatory structure, has been pushing for clarity from the government. The consumer affairs ministry has recently released a draft regulation on specific guidelines for the industry, which comprises of companies such as Amway, Oriflame and Tupperware.
