Hemant Kumar Ruia is Reliance Retail's new CFO

Ever since Anurup Pruthi resigned in December 2014 as the CFO, Reliance Industries’ finance team was handling all the financial operations at Reliance Retail.

NEW DELHI: After a six-month gap, Reliance Retail has appointed Hemant Kumar Ruia as its CFO.

Ever since Anurup Pruthi resigned in December 2014 as the CFO, Reliance Industries’ finance team was handling all the financial operations at Reliance Retail.

Pruthi moved to New Yorkbased The Children’s Place, a retail company. Reliance Retail did not respond to an email query. However, sources confirmed the development.

Ruia, in his previous stint, was the CFO at Agro Tech Foods. He has also worked in the finance team at Reckitt Benckiser (India) and Larsen & Toubro.

Reliance Retail operates convenience stores, supermarkets, hypermarkets, wholesale cash & carry stores, and specialty stores.

Reliance Retail has partnered with international brands such as Diesel, Superdry, Hamleys, Ermenegildo Zegna, Marks and Spencer, Paul & Shark, Thomas Pink, Kenneth Cole, Brooks Brothers, Steve Madden, etc.
