Gujarat spice maker Ramdev Food Products set to foray into snacks business

Company to launch Ramdev Namkeen on January 16; invests Rs 100 cr on new plant

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat-based spices maker Ramdev Food Products plans to diversify into snacks business with Ramdev Namkeen hitting retail shelves on January 16, a company official said.

“We expect the snacks business to give us Rs 200 crore turnover by January 2017,” said Anupam Buch, VP, brand management, at Ramdev Food.

The company, which clocked Rs 300 crore turnover in 2014-15, has invested Rs 100 crore for a new plant on the outskirts of Ahmedabad.
