German toys & child care retail chain Kinderdreams launched

BANGALORE: KidsKinder Dreams India, an exclusive partner of German toys and child care brands, today launched its first retail chain in India here.

The company with the brand ' Kinderdreams' is an Indo-German joint venture company to house exclusive German toys and child care brands under one roof.

Sourced from Germany, Kinderdreams range of products includes Bubchen, Playmobil, NICI, HABA, Rebel Kidz and JAMARA.

Stating that it has a massive expansion plans in the years to come, the company said its flagship store is located in 1 MG Mall on MG Road and a retail outlet at Jayanagar in Bangalore.

The products will also be available on Flipkart shortly, the company added.

Speaking at the launch event here Kinderdreams Founder and Managing Director S Sampath Kumar shared his thoughts on company's way ahead.

He said "company will have a store in Chennai and Hyderabad by Q3 of FY- 2013-14 and in Kerala by Q4."

"We also plan to start sale through LFR (large format retailers) by last quarter of the current financial year," he added.

Illustrating Kinderdreams plan to expand its reach across the section of cities in next two years, Kumar said, "we plan to have our presence in major metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata by FY-2014-15, and in tier II cities like Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and others by FY 2015-16."

The company also stated that its distribution model include four channels- distributors, large format retailers (LFR) or modern trade, company owned company operated (COCO) stores & franchises, and online retailers.
