Future Group to relocate eastern zonal office

KOLKATA: Kishore Biyani’s Future Group, which owns the Pantaloons, Big Bazaar and Central chain of stores, is all set to relocate its eastern India’s zonal office to a new address.
The group has plans to shift their zonal office from Camac Street to Amrita Bazar Patrika’s property on A J C Bose Road.
Confirming the development, Pantaloon (Retail) India chief operations (east) Manish Agarwal said: “With the group expanding its eastern India operations, we needed to relocate our zonal office presently spread over 8,000 square feet on 22, Camac Street to a larger premises.”
The group plans to pick up three floors comprising of 20,000 sq.ft. each on the A J C Bose property for its zonal hub.
An in-principal agreement between the Diamond and the Future Group has been entered into for the same, Mr Agarwal added.
The property on 41, AJBose Road, recently bought by city realtor Amarnath Shroff of the Diamond Group, will become the retail razzmatazz with Future Group picking up some 1,05,000 sq ft to open a Big Bazaar store.
