Funskool to manufacture Dobble in India

Toy manufacturer Funskool India on Monday said it has partnered with Asmodee, the French tabletop games maker to introduce Dobble, which is a speedy observation game, to the Indian market.

Funskool India will manufacture and distribute the game in India.

“We are certain this will pave the way for more such collaborations and give a major fillip to our Make in India initiatives," R. Jeswant, CEO, Funskool India said in a statement.


Funskool is promoted by the MRF group and began operations in 1987 with manufacturing facilities at Goa and Ranipet.

“India being a crucial market for Asmodee, we look forward to this collaboration and see Dobble emerging as a sought-after game in India through this partnership as it is in many other parts of the world," Alexia Ebner, Head of International sales, Asmodee group said.

Dobble is published by the board game publisher Zygomatic, an Asmodee Group studio. The observation game, was first released in France in the year 2009 and has sold over 38 million units worldwide since.
