Dolphin Mart expands domestic, overseas presence
Dolphin Mart Limited says it will invest around Rs 400 crore to widen its domestic presence by opening boutique showrooms, besides expanding global footprint.
Dolphin Mart, which runs two lifestyle retail formats - Woodmart for furniture and 'd' mart Exclusif, which offers home decor products, is aiming to open around 20 boutique format 'd' mart Exclusif stores across the country.
"We are aiming to become Asia's number one supplier of imported home decor products, gifts and furniture. In next two years, we plan to open 20 new boutique stores in India and will also foray into international markets like the US, UK and Dubai very soon on our own," Dolphin Mart Limited CEO Marketing Renu Jain told PTI.
She said though the company already has operations in San Francisco, New Jersey, Holland through franchise route, but the plan was to open company-owned stores overseas shortly.
Asked about the investment details, she said one boutique showroom would cost Rs 15-20 crore on an average, while the cost of setting up a bigger store could go up to Rs 50 crore.
The company today launched a boutique store here, while one each in Faridabad, Mumbai and Bangalore would come up in the next few months.
Currently, the company enjoys a pan-India presence with three company-owned stores in Delhi and NCR, along with a franchise network of 14 showrooms offering home decor and gifting options in silverware, bronzeware, crystal, porcelain, marble handpicked from Italy, Spain and Germany.
Besides lifestyle retail, the Group has interest in agricultural commodities, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and surgical products, engineering goods, stainless steel kitchenware products, herbal extracts and handicrafts.
