Bombay Dyeing to focus on retailing
Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company plans to rejuvenate its retailing business by opening stores in the country's metros.
The firm has 450-odd retail stores across the country, some of these would be closed while others would be expanded and refurbished, Bombay Dyeing Joint Managing Director Ness Wadia told reporters on the sidelines of national executive meet of FICCI here on Friday.
He said an amount of Rs 60 crore would be spent on retailing over the next three years.
Wadia said the focus area would be retailing of home products like bed sheets and furnishings.
Merchandising of its apparel brand Vivaldi would not be on the priority list.
The company is also interested in health, education and infrastructure sectors as well.
