Bajaj Capital ventures into cafe retail biz; plans 25 outlets
Wealthy investors and high net worth individuals can now get advice from expert financial consultants over a cup of coffee in special outlets.
Investment advisory and financial planning firm, Bajaj Capital today said it has ventured into organised coffee retail chain business with the launch of its first 'Wealth Cafe' outlet in Noida.
The company also said it aims to open 25 outlets of the chain across the country within next two years as it aims to tap high net worth investors, who frequent shopping malls and lifestyle joints, Bajaj Capital said in a statement.
"The mall culture in India has picked up in last couple of years...We are confident that by establishing Wealth Cafes in such places we would be able to reach out to a large number of people with high disposable income," Bajaj Capital Vice Chairman and MD Rajiv Deep Bajaj said.
He said the cafes will have an informal setting and will be manned by qualified financial advisors from the company, who could be sought out for discussing investment matters.
"The company plans to establish 25 Wealth Cafes in six cities during next two years," Bajaj said.
Bajaj Capital, however, did not share its investment plans for the chain's expansion or the cities where it plans to have footprints.
