WeWork India leases 1.65 lakh sq ft in Bengaluru’s Embassy Manyata NXT

The building is almost at capacity and will be the first building for Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

BENGALURU | MUMBAI: WeWork India has leased nearly 1.65 lakh sq ft across six floors in Embassy Manyata NXT building in Bengaluru. The co-working major’s new office located off Outer Ring Road will house over 3,500 desks.

The building is almost at capacity and will be the first building for Commonwealth Bank of Australia. The office is being made to fit the needs of organisations of any size - from enterprises to entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), WeWork said in a statement.

“Bengaluru is the home of WeWork’s first location and has shown a tremendous appetite for flexible workspaces. Over the last few months, people have been missing a human connection, and spending time at work, and Manyata NXT is the ideal way for people to come back to work,” said Karan Virwani, CEO of WeWork India.

Since entering the Indian market in 2017, WeWork has acquired over 5 million sq ft of land in 35 locations across NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad. Globally, the company has 828 locations in over 149 cities and 38 countries as of June end.
