Viridian Red begins work on World Trade Centre at GIFT City

AHMEDABAD: Viridian Red, the real estate development arm of Viridian Group, has casted one of the biggest raft foundations in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City ( GIFT City), Gujarat for World Trade Center (WTC). The Company expects the WTC to be ready by 2018.

Raft foundation is a thick concrete slab reinforced with steel which covers the entire contact area of the structure like a thick floor. The raft work at the foundation site is expected to be completed in the next few months.

Prashant Tripathi, spokesperson of Viridian Group said, “Construction work has begun at full swing on ground after getting all the required permissions and our first tower is going to be ready for occupants in next 24 months' time. For this foundation, we have erected 1,100 tons of steel and casted more than 5,000 cubic meters of concrete.”

WTC Gift City has been allocated 1 million square feet space at GIFT. The Company will invest around Rs. 600 crore over the next couple of years.
