UP RERA imposes Rs 1.24 crore penalty on 11 developers

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has imposed Rs 1.24 crore penalty on 11 developers for not following the orders of the authority.

The builders against whom the penalty has been imposed are Supertech, Mahagun, Nivas promoters, Saare Saamag realty, Newtech promoters, Ansal, TGB realty, IVR, La Residentia and Logix.

The authority in its 59th meeting on Friday decided to impose penalties under Sec-63 of RERA.


“The authority has directed these promoters to ensure compliance of its orders and deposit the amount of penalty within a month, failing which the amount of penalty shall be recovered as arrears of land revenue,” said an authority spokesperson.
