TVS Motor Company leases 5 lakh sq ft office in Bengaluru for 10 years

TVS Motor Company has picked up over 500,000 sq ft of office space in a commercial development in Hebbal locality of Bengaluru through a long-term lease spanning total tenure of over 10 years, said persons with direct knowledge of the development.

The large-format office transaction comes as companies continue to secure larger spaces to accommodate their evolving office requirements. For TVS Motor, the transaction will serve both to consolidate its existing operations and expand its office footprint in Bengaluru.

The transaction is among the larger office space commitments by a corporate occupier in Bengaluru, where companies across sectors have continued to assess workplace requirements amid changing office strategies.

“The transaction was registered last week and the company is expected to occupy the premises as part of its consolidation and expansion strategy soon,” said one of the persons mentioned above.

ET’s email query to TVS Motor Company remained unanswered, while transaction advisor Colliers India declined to comment for the story.

The Indian office market has continued to see demand from occupiers across sectors, with companies increasingly looking at larger, quality office spaces to consolidate operations and accommodate expansion.

Large-format transactions have remained an important component of leasing activity as occupiers reassess their workplace requirements and commit to longer-term office strategies.

Bengaluru remains one of the country's largest and most active office markets, supported by its deep technology and services ecosystem and a broad base of domestic and multinational occupiers.

Demand for office space has also expanded beyond traditional central business districts, with established commercial corridors such as Hebbal gaining prominence as companies look for well-connected locations offering larger contiguous spaces.
