Thailand's MQDC enters India with first co-working centre in Delhi, leases 22,000 sq ft from DLF

MQDC is entering into Indian real estate market with a co-working centre named 'Whizdom Club' at Greater Kailash-II in South Delhi.

Bengaluru: Thailand based Property development firm, Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC) has entered India by launching its first coworking project Whizdom Club.

The first of the three projects planned for India is located at Greater Kailash-II in South Delhi. Spread across 22,000 square feet, the Club will have over 400 seats “With the launch of

‘Whizdom Club’ we aspire to create a space that not only hosts creativity and ideas but also nurtures and supports all members for a better tomorrow,” said Chulamas Jitpatima (Amy), Director – MQDC India Real Estate.


The firm plans to launch similar projects in other metro cities over the coming years.

“We are excited to launch our first project in India. Delhi is our first location as the city offers demographic diversity, besides being the fastest-growing metropolitan city with a robust ecosystem and a thriving business culture,” said Krissayuth Chavavitayatham, Vice President, Whizdom Society,MQDC.

MQDC develops, invests and manages residential, mixed-use, commercial, and hotel projects.

Co-Working firms are reshaping Indian workplaces, demand from corporates, startups and entrepreneurs has resulted in a huge jump in the co-working share in total office leasing.

The overall flexible space take-up in India reached about 4.6 million sq. ft in H1 2019, up 52% over the same period last year. During this period, Bangalore accounted for almost 30% of the leasing by flexible space operator, said a recent report from CBRE.
