LUCKNOW: The work on the temporary fencing on the boundary walls of the Sahara Sahar started here today in the presence of Supreme Court observer and senior lawyer L Nageshwar Rao today in compliance with the Apex Court order of June 25.

Senior district and Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) officials were also present at the site where the work was in progress for erecting the temporary fencing.

SC has given two days time from June 28, for completion of the temporary barricading by the Sahara authorities.
After the completion of the work Rao would submit his report to the Registar of Lucknow bench of Allahabad High court as per the directions of the apex court.

The temporary boundary walls of the Sahara Sahar were demolished by the LDA authorities on June 23, terming them as illegal and violative of the status quo order of the apex court.

The apex had later ordered for the restoration of the temporary fencing by Sahara India Commercial Corporation Limited (SICCL) and asked the LDA and Sahara to maintain the status quo.
