Suraksha group completes construction of nearly 6,000 units of Jaypee Infratech Limited

New Delhi: Suraksha Group, which took control of Jaypee Infratech Limited in 2024, has completed construction work of 5989 units spread across various projects in JIL Wish Town. The company has already secured Occupancy Certificates(OCs) for 31 towers comprising of 3135 units.

Additionally, Suraksha Group has also applied for OCs of 32 towers of Kosmos, Klassic, Kensington Boulevard Apartments, Kensington Park Apartments, Kensington Park Heights and Pebble Court. These 32 towers have a total of 2,854 units.

The company expects to receive Occupancy Certificates for 32 towers over the next couple of months.


“Despite crippling restrictions imposed on construction activities due to GRAP rules during winter months every year, we are working to deliver as per the timeline outlined in the resolution plan. We have completed 63 towers, with Occupation Certificates (OCs) already received for 31 towers and applications submitted for 32 additional towers. For the remaining towers, construction is going on in full swing and we are confident of delivering these towers as per the resolution plan,” said Jash Panchamia, Executive Director, Jaypee Infratech Limited.

Suraksha is expected to invest about Rs 5,500 crore towards completing construction of about 20,000 homes of Jaypee group in Noida and Greater Noida. These units are expected to be delivered by 2027.

The Mumbai-based conglomerate had taken over stalled projects of Jaypee Infratech. Overall, 159 residential towers are to be completed.

On May 24, 2024, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) approved SurakshaGroup's resolution plan, directing the company to compensate YEIDA with Rs 1,335 crore over the next four years for the benefit of farmers.

Suraksha's plan, submitted to the bankruptcy court in April, originally proposed Rs 1,216 crore in enhanced compensation, with payments structured as 10% within 90 days, 15% by the end of the first year, and 25% annually over the next three years.
