Supertech told to complete demolition of Noida towers by May 22

Noida Authority has directed real estate developer Supertech and Edifice Engineering to start mobilising workforce, material and machinery for the demolition of the builder's two non-compliant residential towers in Noida - Apex and Ceyane - by February 20, an official told ET.

The authority has said the demolition process should be completed by May 22 and the debris removed by August 22. On Monday, the Supreme Court had directed Noida Authority to hold a meeting of all stakeholders within 72 hours.

"A meeting of the power department, fire department, district administration, pollution control board, police, residents' welfare associations, and other stakeholders was called to discuss the concerns. Most of them have given their NOC with certain conditions, and Edifice has been asked to follow those suggestions," a Noida Authority official told ET.
