Stellar leases two million sq ft warehousing space in Maharashtra, TN and Punjab

Consumer supply chain company Stellar Value Chain Solutions has leased 2 million sq ft warehousing space in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra, NCR, Hosur in Tamil Nadu and Banur in Punjab as demand from non ecommerce companies goes up after mobility restrictions in states across the country were lifted recently.

The company is in the process of leasing another 2 million sq ft by the end of the month.

The company is in talks to lease warehousing space in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam and some other tier-2 cities.


“Because of the pandemic, demand was only from ecommerce players but now the demand is coming from all sectors,” said Anshuman Singh, chairman and managing director, Stellar Value Chain Solutions Pvt Ltd. “We are seeing demand from FMCG, automotive, consumer durables and even retail and fashion is coming back. From the 12 million sq ft operational space currently, we want to reach 50 msf in four years.”

The company intends to lease 7 million sq ft every year and invest Rs 350 crore to Rs 700 crore in developing the warehouse.

Spread across half a million sq ft each, these facilities are available for warehousing operations with flexible capacities and tenure for corporates across sectors.

“The upcoming 2 million sq ft will cover Kolkata, Bengaluru, Patna, Lucknow, Vijayawada and Ludhiana as tier-2 cities are our new focus areas. The facility we have leased now will come up between six to 18 months,” said Singh.

The company has identified 21 cities as core production and consumption centres.

“With our transformative 3PL solutions, we aim to bring India among the top five positions in the Logistics Performance Index. Our facilities will act as a growth multiplier for our existing as well as potential customers across the country,” Singh said.
