Simplex bags Rs 481 cr order for civil work

Simplex Infrastructures Ltd on Tuesday said it has bagged an order worth Rs 481 crore for civil work from a joint venture company between Tata Power and DVC.

MUMBAI: Simplex Infrastructures Ltd on Tuesday said it has bagged an order worth Rs 481 crore for civil work from a joint venture company between Tata Power and DVC.

The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that the order is for the 1,050-MW Maithon Thermal Power project.

Simplex's order book stands at Rs 8,994 crore including the value of unexecuted orders as of September 30 and the new orders received since then till date, it said.

In November, Simplex had received two contracts worth Rs 680 crore for design and construction of Eastern Freeway from museum to Anil Panjarapole Link Road and for design and construction of fly-over on Babasaheb Ambedkar Road under Package II.

Recently, Simplex Infrastructures approved allotment of 64 lakh equity shares of Rs 2 at Rs 625 each to the Qualified Institutional Buyers amounting to Rs 400 crore.

This new issue accounts for 13 per cent of the expanded capital.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 670.25, down 3.79 per cent on the BSE in the afternoon trade.
