Maytas Infra bags project worth Rs 233 cr
Maytas Infra on Monday said it has signed an agreement with Vedanta Alumina Ltd for developing an integrated township for the latter's staff at an estimated cost of Rs 232.69 crore in Jharsuguda, Orissa.
In this regard, the firm has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vedanta Alumina.
The township would be developed for the employees of Vedanta and would be completed in 18 months, Maytas said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Maytas Infra is a leading infrastructure development, construction and project management firm.
Construction of the township on an engineering, procurement construction and costs (EPC) basis including site grading and designing of buildings would be among the works of Maytas Infra.
"We are very pleased with our association with Vedanta Alumina Ltd and we at Maytas will build the township with the finest standards of construction using our fine finish techniques," the company's CEO P K Madhav said.
Shares of the firm closed at Rs 914.20, up 0.91 per cent at the BSE.
