A modern co-working facility integrated into a metro station is set to open in Kochi, offering technology services companies a modern workspace with excellent connectivity. Called “i by Infopark’, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate it at Ernakulam South railway station soon.

“With 48,000 sq.ft. of flexible space and world-class amenities, it will support 550+ professionals. A model for the future, this initiative will be scaled across the state to boost innovation and employment,” Vijayan posted on X.



The nine-story facility, managed by Infopark, a state government arm, boasts of a built-up area of 6530 sq ft on each floor. The ground and two floors are reserved for metro operations, while the top floors are dedicated to companies.

Kerala Law, Coir & Industries Minister P Rajeeve described the facility as a pioneering model in urban innovation, aimed at reducing commute times for employees. "We believe employees should work close to their homes, saving them from long commutes," he said. The minister added that companies are responding positively, and Infopark plans to replicate this model across Kerala if successful.

The Ernakulam South Metro station facility offers fully furnished co-working spaces, ideal for IT/ITES companies seeking modern infrastructure and seamless connectivity. "Our goal is to position Infopark as the premier choice for businesses seeking strategically located workspace solutions in Kochi," Rajeeve said.

Kochi's cost-effective office spaces can enhance operational efficiency and bottom lines for businesses compared to other major Indian IT hubs, the minister noted.
