Infra firm KEC International bags Rs 1,303 crore orders across businesses

Infra EPC firm KEC International on Monday said it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,303 crore across its transmission and distribution (T&D) and cables and conductors businesses, with projects spanning India, the Middle East and the Americas.

The latest wins take the company's year-to-date order intake to more than Rs 7,600 crore, strengthening its project pipeline as it expands its presence across key domestic and international markets.

KEC's T&D business has secured orders for projects in India, Saudi Arabia and the Americas, the company said in a statement.


The orders include a 400 kV transmission line project in northern India, 380 kV transmission line projects in Saudi Arabia, and the supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas.

In India, the company has secured an order from an existing private-sector client for a transmission line project to evacuate power from a hydroelectric plant in northern India.

The international T&D business has also won multiple orders in Saudi Arabia for 380 kV transmission lines, further strengthening KEC's presence in the Middle East.

The company's cables and conductors business has secured various orders in India and overseas markets, although KEC did not disclose the value or specific details of these contracts.

"We are delighted with the new order wins, amidst a challenging environment," Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO of KEC International, said.

Kejriwal said the outlook for the company's T&D business remained robust, supported by the new orders, a strong pipeline of opportunities and sustained demand across its key markets.

"With these orders, our YTD order intake stands at over Rs 7,600 crores. These orders will play a key role in driving our targeted growth going forward," he said.

The latest contracts add to KEC's order book at a time when demand for transmission infrastructure is creating opportunities across India and overseas markets. The company has projects and operations spanning more than 110 countries.

KEC International is the flagship company of RPG Group and operates across power transmission and distribution, civil construction, transportation, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables and conductors.

The company said its latest order wins will support its targeted growth, with the T&D business remaining a key contributor to its overall order intake.
