Infinite may drag Maytas Properties to court

The murky Satyam saga has put PE fund Infinite India, which has invested Rs 600 crore in Maytas Properties, in a fix.

Mumbai: The murky Satyam saga has put PE fund Infinite India, which has invested Rs 600 crore in Maytas Properties, in a fix. With interest in Maytas not playing up to expectations , this fund is examining a number of options.

Among the options being examined includes a legal recourse . Circa February 2008: Infinite India Investment Management, an equal JV between Nimesh Kampani's JM Financial and US-based SRS Fund, invested in Maytas Properties, the Raju family's privately-held company. The deal was Infinite's largest investment in Indian realty.

An Infinite spokesperson said, ������ Maytas Props has breached terms of agreement with the funds advised/managed by us.���
