HUDA allows twin basement in industrial plots

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Urban Development Authority ( HUDA) has decided to allow twin-level basement in industrial plots of general category.

While disclosing this here today, a spokesman of HUDA said that twin level basement might be used for parking and air conditioning plant, but it should not be used for electric sub-stations, including transformer.

Such permissions could be granted at the level of administrator and this policy would be applicable on those plots also, which have already been allotted.

However, while granting such permissions, the prescribed safety norms of National Building Code-2005 should be strictly adhered to, he added.
