Housing prices in big cities soar 7%

Home prices in leading eight cities surged 7% YoY in Q1 of FY24 as strong housing demand offset the challenges posed by the 250-basis point increase in policy interest rates since last summer. A collaborative report by CREDAI, Colliers, and Liases Foras showed that Kolkata led with a 15% increase, closely followed by Delhi NCR and Hyderabad, which saw respective rises of 14% and 13% YoY.
