The co, which has ops in Cambodia, Thailand & Philippines as well, has plans to open around seven centres in India.
Garg said that the company’s clients in India would comprise mostly of large enterprises and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as opposed to startups who form the bulk of clients in Hong Kong. Speaking about the need for pantry managers which is specific to India, Garg said, “In Hong Kong, you wash what you use and bring your own coffee to meetings.”
Garg also spoke about the demand for coworking spaces in Tier 2 cities like Chandigarh, Jaipur, Bhopal and Ludhiana. “Companies like Vivo and Samsung have a huge demand there, and it’s hard for them to find Grade A work spaces when they want to set up offices there.” He said the company had plans to eventually enter the market, but would first focus on Tier 1 cities.
