MUMBAI: Infrastructure developer Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) on Thursday said it has bagged a Rs 167.76 crore order from Tata Steel for execution of civil works.
The contract would be be carried out in Tata Steel's Kalinganagar project in Orissa, HCC said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The steel major is setting up a six-million-tons per annum integrated steel plant in Kalinganagar Industrial Complex at Duburi in Orissa and the project will be completed in two modules of 3 million tons each. The first module will be commissioned in 2008.
Shares of HCC were last trading at Rs 100.8, up 1.26 per cent on the BSE.
For the year ended March 31, Mumbai-based HCC's turnover stood at Rs 2,394.50 crore as compared to Rs 2,028.15 crore for the previous year, registering a growth of 18 per cent.
