HCEPL to roll its first 20 tonne excavator

HYDERABAD: Hyundai Construction Equipment India (HCEPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyundai Heavy Industries, Korea is expected to roll its first 20 tonne excavator during this month.

The Rs 300-crore state-of-the-art factory initially produce 10,000 units of excavators of various capacities from 8 to 80 tonnes in a phased manner, J S Kim, MD, HCEPL said on the sidelines of a press conference here on Tuesday.

He said HCEPL has taken a decision to set up its earthmoving division in view of the India's fast growing infrastructure building facility and hoped Hyundai will expand its activities with more investments in future.

Kim said the company, which had first set up its plant in Pune, is also expected to achieve a good market share in the country.

HCEPL's Southern Regional Office cater services to states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
