Bengaluru: Google is expanding its office footprint at Alembic City in Bengaluru's Whitefield, securing rights over about 2.6 million square feet, a move underscoring its long-term commitment to the region.

While Google IT Services India had leased about 650,000 sq ft at Alembic City in October 2024, as per the agreement, the landlord is required to "hold and reserve" three additional blocks - the Annex Tower, Office Block Tower G and Office Block Tower B - exclusively for Google, documents shared by Propstack show.

"The lessor shall not, during the subsistence of this right, negotiate or agree to lease the reserved blocks to any third party" unless Google formally declines them, the document stated.
