Godrej Properties forays into Indore, buys 46-acre land for plotted development

Godrej Properties, part of Godrej Industries Group, has acquired a 46-acre land parcel in Indore to develop plotted residential units. The site, located off Indore-Ujjain Road, is set to offer around 1.16 million sq ft of saleable area.

Godrej Properties, the real estate development of the Godrej Industries Group, has acquired an around 46-acre land parcel in Indore with a plan to primarily develop plotted residential units.

The project is estimated to hold a development potential of saleable area of nearly 1.16 million sq ft, the company said in a release.

The land parcel is located off Indore-Ujjain Road, a major upcoming corridor of Indore, that is slated to be widened to a 6-lane highway and an important residential and commercial area in the city.


“Residential plotted development has gained significant traction in recent years and the Indore-Ujjain Road is a promising micro-market to expand our presence in this space. This aligns well with our ongoing growth strategy of entering fast-growing cities from a plotted development perspective,” said Gaurav Pandey, MD & CEO, Godrej Properties.

The location offers connectivity to key landmarks such as the Indore international airport, Indore Junction railway station, educational institutes, and medical infrastructure.

The proposed expansion of Metro lines, the growth of corporate and information technology sectors, and ongoing infrastructure development have further contributed to the growth of the residential real estate market in the city.
