Gayatri Projs bags road projects worth Rs 544 cr in Mizoram

Gayatri Projects, a Hyderabad- based infrastructure company, today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 544.75 crore to build a road project in Mizoram.

NEW DELHI: Gayatri Projects, a Hyderabad- based infrastructure company, today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 544.75 crore to build a road project in Mizoram.

"The project entails execution of construction of two laning/realignment from 11.500 km to 130 km of national highway 44A in the north-eastern state under phase A of SARDP-NE (Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for the North Eastern Region)," the company said in a statement.

The project is to be completed in 36 months, the statement added.

"We are proud to have bagged this prestigious contract. With this order, we have strengthened our robust order book and significant portion comes from our core competency -- construction sector," Gayatri Projects' Managing Director Sandeep Reddy said, while commenting on the order.

The company, founded four decades ago, has been engaged in construction of national and state highways, dams, reservoirs etc. in various states like Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra among others.

Its current order book is around Rs 8,000 crore, the statement added.
