FDH Aero opens Bengaluru office to strengthen India aerospace supply chain play

Bengaluru: US-based aerospace and defence supply chain firm FDH Aero has inaugurated a new office in Bengaluru.

The company is consolidating its hardware and electronics divisions under one roof as India's aerospace and defence sector sees accelerating growth, said the company in a statement.

The office will serve as a full-service hub for regional customers. It will be backed by in-country inventory and local teams to support tier-1 manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers operating in India, the statement added.


"Strong commercial aerospace demand, rising defence investment, and Made in India initiatives are accelerating growth across India's aerospace and defence sector," said Matthew Lacki, president of FDH Hardware.

FDH Aero has appointed Adhavan Kamalanathan as in-country head for FDH Electronics and Victor Bharath for FDH Hardware. Both bring decades of experience supporting global orginal equipment manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers across the Asia-Pacific region, statement said.

Ian Locke, EVP of sales at FDH Electronics, called the Bengaluru opening a significant milestone in the company's global expansion. "By aligning our teams with experienced local professionals, we are well positioned to meet growing demand in the region," he said.

The inauguration was attended by customers, suppliers and government stakeholders.

FDH Aero operates across 15 countries with over 1,500 employees and 650,000 sq ft of inventory space, said the statement.
