Average flat size across India’s top seven markets increased 7% in 2024, with the National Capital Region (NCR) seeing the highest jump (29%), while Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune saw low growth. The demand for homes with additional features such as home offices, dedicated study areas for children and enhanced recreational spaces has grown significantly, reflecting a shift towards comfort, functionality and a balanced living environment.
