DLF today said it has bagged Durgapur Township Project in West Bengal, a public-private partnership model that would attract investment up to Rs 4,000 crore.

MUMBAI: Real estate company DLF today said it has bagged Durgapur Township Project in West Bengal, a public-private partnership model that would attract investment up to Rs 4,000 crore.

The project would have co-operative housing plots, residential complexes for low, middle and high income groups, bungalows and commercial complexes and retail space, DLF said adding that it would take four years to complete.

DLF plans to use solar lights, rain-water harvesting, water recycling plant and a sewage treatment plant in the township as part of its environment protection measures.

Besides the Durgapur project, DLF is also developing about 5,000 acre township, a textile SEZ, two IT parks and hotels in Kolkata.
