NEW DELHI: Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) on Monday reported an increase of 26 per cent in its net profit at Rs 9.93 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 7.88 crore in corresponding quarter previous year.
The company's total income grew by 39 per cent to Rs 65.46 crore in this quarter against Rs 47.10 crore in the first quarter in 2005-06, a DHFL statement said.
Loan disbursements for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, registered a growth of 32 per cent at Rs 287.92 crore against Rs 218.10 crore during the corresponding quarter last year.
The loan portfolio stood at Rs 2,470 crore, up 46.74 per cent in Q1 of this fiscal.
DHFL targets a CAGR growth of 30 per cent in the next five year with focus on low middle income segment in the urban and semi urban India, said DHFL managing director Kapil Wadhawan.
