The joint venture between the Adani Group and the government of Maharashtra will also create a digital library of one of the world’s largest informal settlements.
In November 2022, the Adani Group had also won the Rs 23,000 crore Dharavi Redevelopment Project to redevelop Asia’s largest slum cluster spread over 600 acres in the heart of India's commercial capital Mumbai with a bid of Rs 5,069 crore.
The data will be captured through an indigenously developed app and every informal tenement will be given a unique number, DRPPL said in a release.
DRPPL has engaged city and infrastructure planning experts including US-based design firm Sasaki and UK-based town planners Buro Happold to design the entire project.
