Avaada Group plans Rs 10,000 crore green industrial campus in Haryana’s Hisar

Avaada Group plans to invest around ₹10,000 crore to develop a 300-acre green industrial campus in Hisar, Haryana. The Zero-CBAM project, aimed at helping industries meet global carbon requirements, is expected to create more than 5,000 jobs.

Avaada Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC), Government of Haryana, to develop a 300-acre Zero-CBAM Green Industrial Campus in Hisar with a proposed investment of around Rs 10,000 crore.

The project is expected to create more than 5,000 employment opportunities and is aimed at establishing an integrated industrial ecosystem powered by reliable, traceable and round-the-clock renewable energy, the company said.

The proposed campus will cater to industries looking to decarbonise their operations and strengthen their preparedness for evolving global carbon and sustainability requirements, including the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

Under the agreement, HEPC will facilitate the development of the campus as a state-supported Green Industrial/Zero-CBAM Industrial Park. The state government will support the project through industrial-park status, exploration of customised incentives, common infrastructure, connectivity and utilities, as well as expedited statutory approvals through its single-window mechanism.

Avaada and the Haryana government will also work towards attracting anchor investors, technology partners and industrial participants to the campus. The two sides plan to explore international investment roadshows in markets including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan and South Korea.

The campus is envisaged to bring together renewable energy, industrial infrastructure and green manufacturing, enabling participating companies to lower the carbon intensity of their operations and meet the growing global demand for low-carbon products and supply chains.

“We are pleased to partner with the Government of Haryana in advancing a shared vision for sustainable and future-ready industrial growth in the State,” Avaada Group Chairman Vineet Mittal said.

The proposed Rs 10,000 crore investment is expected to catalyse industrial activity in Hisar and contribute to the development of a broader green industrial ecosystem in the region, the company said.

The MoU provides a framework for cooperation between Avaada and HEPC on investment facilitation and ease of doing business, with HEPC serving as the key interface for coordinating with state authorities and facilitating implementation of the project.
