Ansal Hi Tech a front for Ansal API: NCDRC

New Delhi: The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has termed Ansal Hi Tech Township Limited (AHTTL) a "front company for Ansal API", saying the two are interconnected entities operating under the overall control of Pranav Ansal.

The NCDRC made its observations on Wednesday in response to complaints from 70 affected parties. These individuals had approached the tribunal to enforce their rights to receive compensation for not receiving timely possession of properties they had purchased at a township development being constructed by Ansal Hi Tech Township.

The aggrieved parties have claimed that Ansal API should cover their claims if Ansal Hi Tech Township is unable to make the payments.


The NCDRC agreed with the contentions of the aggrieved parties.

"This corporate structure of parent and subsidiary company is being misused to avoid satisfaction of decrees in the present cases," the tribunal noted.
