Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has acquired a total of 25.7 acres of land through four separate transactions in Pune's Mulshi taluka for a combined consideration of more than Rs 16.42 crore.

The transactions involve four adjoining land parcels in Village Pimpri, Mulshi, a locality that has witnessed the development of luxury second homes, private estates and hospitality projects over the past few years.

The largest acquisition is a 10.8-acre parcel purchased for Rs 7.08 crore. Kapoor also acquired a 7.4-acre parcel for Rs 4.62 crore, a 5.3-acre parcel for Rs 3.32 crore, and a 2.2-acre parcel for nearly Rs 1.40 crore.


The total stamp duty paid across the four transactions amounted to about Rs 82.13 lakh, and the deals were registered on April 30, according to registration documents accessed through CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics platform.

The purpose of Kapoor's land acquisition could not be immediately ascertained.

Kapoor had recently acquired a land parcel in Ayodhya for Rs 3.31 crore, amid rising investor interest in the temple town's real estate market.

The region's proximity to Pune and Mumbai, scenic landscape, and improving infrastructure have contributed to growing investor interest over the past few years.

Large land acquisitions in lifestyle destinations have become increasingly common as affluent buyers diversify their real estate portfolios and explore opportunities to develop private residences or hospitality projects.
