Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company has appointed Shailender Singh as the market managing director for Eurasia.

The chain said this appointment underscores Wyndham's commitment to expanding its presence and strengthening its operations in one of the world's most dynamic and rapidly growing hospitality markets. “Recent studies highlight India's hospitality sector as a key driver, with projections indicating robust growth fuelled by increasing domestic and international tourism demand,” the chain said in a statement.

Wyndham further stated that Shailender Singh brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record in market strategy, real estate development, hotel openings and operations and relationship management.


Having previously worked at Neelkanth Hospitality and MGM Muthu Hotels in Africa, he will now be responsible for driving the growth of Wyndham's portfolio of brands across Eurasia.

Wyndham currently has 60 operational hotels in India and it opened three new hotels in the first half of 2024.
