Vivanta by Taj expands its footprint to Malaysia

MUMBAI: Taj Group, the country's leading hospitality chain, today expanded its footprint to Malaysia with the opening of Vivanta by Taj at Rebak Island, Langkawi.

The hotel has 94 timbered rooms set in clusters shaded by palm trees while clumps of tamarind, coconut and local herbs enhance the ambiance. It is located at a privately-owned 390 acres rain forest island, the company said in a release issued here.

"This is the 29th Vivanta by Taj hotel. We are very happy to bring brand Vivanta to this beautiful country. Langkawi is a great destination and extremely popular among local and international tourists. We are positive that this hotel will scale the popularity charts," Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts Chief Operating Officer Veer Vijay Singh said.
