Penchant Foods plans 7-10 food courts in two years

Penchant Foods is planning to open 7-10 food courts - MeltingPot - across the country in next two years, with an investment of about Rs 10-12 crore.

NEW DELHI: Penchant Foods is planning to open 7-10 food courts - MeltingPot - across the country in next two years, with an investment of about Rs 10-12 crore.

"We plan to open 7-10 food courts in the country by 2009 with about seven of them in Delhi-NCR in the current year itself," Penchant Foods Director Rajiv Mehta told reporters on the launch of the company's food court here.

MeltingPot would offer Indian, Italian and Chinese cuisine.

The Delhi-based firm would establish the food courts in Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida in the current year and in Meerut and Zirakpur next year.

"All MeltingPot will be owned by the company, including the food brands served inside the courts," Mehta said.

Some of the courts would also have kids' section and bar.
